Let’s see, where were we? Oh yes! Ridiculously tasty BBQ sauce and delicious rum cake. Up next? Pralines and Dip!
Pecan Jack’s Amaretto Pralines
I confess that while I bought all of the goodies from the Metro Cooking Show for either my family to enjoy or for me to entertain friends. But these pralines? I bought these just for me. The sugar just melted in my mouth when I sampled the various praline flavors (they make Amaretto, Bourbon and Rum) – add in pecans and I’m a goner. I bought a box and keep them tucked away in the laundry room on a shelf. What better place to hide Mommy’s treats?
Angeli Gourmet Greek Dressing Marinade Dip
(Yes, all of the above). The friendly folks at the Angeli Gourmet booth were sampling their magical dressing in a unique way – they had tossed chunks of crusty bread (my favorite) in their Dressing Marinade Dip. It was so simple, yet so flavorful. I immediately knew this would be a pantry staple, for use when you need a quick appetizer or salad that is nice enough for entertaining. Check out their website for recipe ideas using the dressing.
Disclosure: I was given a press pass to attend the show free of charge; but I shelled out my own dough to purchase the treats that tickled my fancy!
